Privacy Policy

There is no account and no server behind the canvas — almost nothing here is unusual, because almost nothing is collected.

What this site stores, and where

This site has no user accounts and no database. When you type into a canvas, the text is written only to localStorage in your own browser — a small store the browser keeps on your device, tied to this site's address. It is never sent to a server, because this site does not have one to send it to: the pages are static files, and the canvas, its exports, and the theme toggle all run entirely in your browser.

That means your canvas is only ever on the device and browser you typed it into. Clearing your browser's site data, using a different browser, or using private/incognito mode will not show your saved canvas, because none of those share the same localStorage. Nobody else — including the owner of this site — can see what you have typed.

Third-party scripts

This site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-DPQSFTHF15), and nothing else. It records which pages are opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which site or search sent you here. IP addresses are truncated before they are stored (anonymize_ip). It is not given your name, your email address, or anything you type into a canvas — the canvas never leaves your browser, so there is nothing for it to send. No advertising scripts are loaded. Fonts are downloaded once at build time and served from this site's own address, so loading a page never makes a request to a font provider.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (names beginning _ga) to tell one visit from the next. They hold a random identifier, not anything about you. This site sets no cookies of its own: the theme toggle and your canvas both use localStorage. You can block the analytics cookies with any content blocker or your browser's tracking protection, and every part of the canvas keeps working.
